Halicode Software Solutions (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the English Talk mobile application (“the App”).
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our App.
English Talk is designed as a privacy-first, anonymous communication platform.
1. Overview of Our Privacy Approach
- English Talk does not require personal identity information to use the App.
- Users may communicate anonymously.
- We do not record or store voice or video calls.
- We do not permanently store chat content.
- All communication is encrypted and transmitted over secure channels.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
English Talk does not require users to provide personal information such as real name,
phone number, or email address.
If you voluntarily provide optional information (such as a display name or profile image), it is used
only for in-app display.
2.2 Messages and Communication Data
- Chat messages are temporarily stored on our servers only as required to deliver messages to recipients.
- Once delivery is completed or messages expire, they are automatically removed.
- Message content is never used for advertising or profiling.
2.3 Voice and Video Calls
- English Talk does not record or store any audio or video calls on any server.
- Voice and video session data is never stored on any server.
- Calls are transmitted using standard IETF protocols for real-time communication.
- All call communication is encrypted and sent over secure channels.
2.4 Local Voice and Video Processing
To improve call quality and overall functionality, English Talk may perform limited audio and video processing on the user’s device, such as noise suppression, pitch analysis, or video optimization. This processing occurs locally and is not stored or transmitted to our servers
- All such processing occurs locally on your device.
- No processed audio or video data is sent to or stored on our servers.
2.5 Technical and Usage Data
We may collect limited technical data necessary to operate the App, including device type and OS,
app version, network connectivity state, and crash/performance diagnostics. This data does not identify you personally.
3. How We Use Information
- Enable messaging, voice calls, and video calls.
- Maintain connection reliability and service quality.
- Deliver notifications.
- Detect abuse, fraud, or technical issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Advertising and Analytics
4.1 Advertising
English Talk may display ads provided by third-party partners such as Google AdMob.
Advertising partners may collect advertising ID, device information, and general (non-precise) location.
You can manage ad personalization through your device settings.
4.2 Analytics
We may use analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics) to understand app usage trends.
Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized.
5. Data Recovery Policy
- To recover previous usage data, you must agree to this Privacy Policy.
- Recovery is possible only if you provide a valid recovery PIN and code.
- If you do not have a recovery PIN and code, previous usage data cannot be recovered.
- Data recovery is not guaranteed and may fail due to technical limitations.
- Repeated incorrect recovery attempts may result in a temporary lockout.

Once recovery is completed on another device:
- Your previous device will be unlinked.
- The App on the old device may need to be set up again as a new user.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- Temporary server data is retained only as long as necessary for core functionality.
- Users have full control to erase data from their local device and from our servers (where applicable).
- Account or data deletion requests can be made at any time.
7. Permissions Required for App Functionality
English Talk may request the following permissions to function properly:
- Camera – for video calls and capturing images
- Microphone – for voice and video calls
- Access Network State – to check internet connectivity
- Read Phone State – to manage call status
- Call Phone – to initiate call functionality
- Wake Lock – to keep the device active during calls
- Post Notifications – to display call and message alerts
- Use Full Screen Intent – for incoming call screens
- Bind Telecom Connection Service – for system call integration
- System Alert Window – to display call UI over other apps
- Foreground Service – to maintain call reliability
- Foreground Service (Phone Call) – to ensure call stability
- Foreground Service (Microphone) – for uninterrupted audio capture
Permissions are used only for their stated purpose and can be revoked via device settings.
8. Data Sharing
- We do not sell user data.
- We may share data with essential service providers (hosting, push notifications) to operate the App.
- We may share data when required by law or to protect users, the App, or public safety.
9. How English Talk Prevents Online Harassment
English Talk includes several built-in safety features to help users avoid online harassment and maintain a respectful communication environment.
Users can immediately end any random call using the drop button at any time.
A random caller is only added to the contact list after the user explicitly approves the connection.
No user can initiate an audio or video call without the recipient’s permission.
To further promote a safe experience, chat messages are automatically filtered to block common harassment or abusive language.
Users also have full control over their contact list and can delete any contact instantly if they feel uncomfortable or experience inappropriate behavior.
10. Children’s Privacy
English Talk is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If such data is identified, it will be deleted.
11. International Data Transfers
Data may be processed in different countries depending on server location. Appropriate safeguards are applied to protect user data.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
